Sofia Margarita Vergara

   Sofia Margarita Vergara (Spanish:, born July 10, 1972) is a Colombian American actress, television producer, presenter, and model. Vergara was the highest-paid actor on American television between 2013 and 2020. Vergara rose in prominence when she hosted two shows on Univision's Spanish-language TV network in the early 1990s. Her first significant acting gig in English was in the movie Chasing Papi (2003). The following year, she was in Four Brothers (2005), Tyler Perry's Comedies Meet the Browns (2008) and Madea Goes to Jail (2009, which received an ALMA Award nomination). In 2009, she began playing Gloria Delgado-Pritchett for the ABC comedy series Modern Family for which she was nominated for four Golden Globe Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards, and eleven Screen Actors Guild Awards.Vergara has also appeared in the movies The Smurfs (2011), New Year's Eve (2011), The Three Stooges (2012), Machete Kills (2013), Fading Gigolo (2013) Chef (2014) and Hot Pursuit (2015). Vergara also voiced the characters in animated movies Happy Feet Two (2011). Escape from Planet Earth (2013). and The Emoji Movie (2018). Vergara was also the highest-paid Hollywood actress in the year 2020 [citation needed]. Since the year 2020, Vergara has been a judge on America's Got Talent. Vergara was born in Barranquilla by an Roman Catholic couple. Her mother Margarita Vergara De Vergara worked as a housewife, while her father Julio Enrique Vergara Robayo worked as an animal rancher in the meat industry. Her five siblings, and many cousins, she was called "Toti". Vergara was a student for three years studying dentistry at National University of Colombia. But, she chose to quit two semesters earlier to pursue opportunities in showbusiness and modeling.
