Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell was an actress on television, former chef at the Institute of Culinary Education and in the past, she taught cooking. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and is also the host of Worst Cooks in America. With her trademark spiky blond hair and her energised presence, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of food in restaurants and shares concise easy-to-master techniques for home cooks on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell is also a part of various top eateries that are located in New York, studied the tradition of Italian cuisine, and the culinary landscape in Italy as well as competed on the Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by culinary arts and cooking from the age of. She pursued her love of working in the restaurant business by enrolling at The Culinary Institute of America after earning a degree in English and communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. Burrell was on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which improves children's lives who have obstacles and is also a Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador where she is an advocate for the awareness of juvenile diabetes.
