Jillian Noel Hennessy

Jillian Noel Hennessy (19 November 1975) is a Canadian singer and actor from Canada. She is most famous for her roles in the role of Claire Kincaid, a US prosecutor in the television show Law & Order for three seasons. Crossing Jordan was six seasons. Jordan Cavanaugh, the protagonist on Crossing Jordan, lasted six seasons. She has also been an actress in films such as RoboCop 3: Most Wanted, as well the independent film Chutney Popcorn (which she also co-directed) and The Acting Class (which was written by her). Hennessy was born and raised in Edmonton. John Hennessy, her father, was a meat-salesman and an executive in marketing and sales. His job required extensive travel, which led to many moves for the entire family. Maxine Her mother was secretary. Her daughter was left behind by Eleanor, her paternal grandmother from Kitchener, Ontario. John Paul Hennessy Jr. has a younger brother as well as Jacqueline, a twin sister. Jacqueline works as a journalist and host on a Canadian TV program. Hennessy is of Irish, French, Swedish and Italian ancestry from her father's side and mainly Ukrainian Roma, as well as Austrian as well as Austrian ancestry on her mother's side. She attended Stanley Park Senior Public School and graduated from Grand River Collegiate Institute, both of which are located in Kitchener, Ontario, and was busking on the Toronto subway. Hennessy along with her sister and her first performance was as twin call-girls in 1988's Dead Ringers. She was not selected to play Dana Scully on The X-Files according to Gillian Anderson, the actress who was eventually offered the role.She was on Broadway in the musical Buddy the Musical - The Buddy Holly Story in 1990.In 1993, she was on the show as Dr. Marie Lazarus in RoboCop 3.In 1993, Dick Wolf signed Hennessy as the assistant district attorney Claire Kincaid in the NBC crime drama Law & Order. The role lasted for three seasons, before she quit the show in the year 1996.
